Amy Nguyen, OD

Dr. Amy Nguyen was raised in Stockton, CA and received her undergraduate degree in Biological Anthropology from the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Nguyen then attended Western University School of Health Sciences for optometry.  There she was the Trustee for the American Optometric Student Association and a member of  the Student Honor Society.

Her clinical rotations were at Fort Defiance Indian Hospital in Arizona, Ernest Childers Veteran Affairs in  Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tayani’s Eye Institute in Southern California, and a private practice in Seattle, WA.  Dr. Nguyen provides comprehensive vision services for all family members and contact lenses evaluations. She holds a therapeutic and glaucoma drug license and treats ocular infection, ocular allergies, and dry eye problems associated with autoimmune diseases. She also assists in the diagnosis and post-operative care of cataracts.  

 Dr. Nguyen has a strong passion in providing vision care services to the under serve communities during her spare time. Dr. Nguyen is a co-founder of the vision project with Global Health Force, whose mission is to provide free medical/vision services to third world populations.  Dr. Nguyen is also an active member with Lion Club international, in which she has helped to provide vision care and eyeglasses to low income patients.

Currently, Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Optometric  Association, California Optometric Association,  and Sacramento Valley Optometric Association.
